Telemedizin - Eine Übersicht

Abstract

Telemedicine means that new technologies enter step by step the different fields of public health. At first there will be introduces computerized information systems which deal with the use, administration and communication of medical datasets. As a consequence the medical staff is faced with fundamental changes in their daily work to save costs and time. Finally their work will be easier and the quality of patient care will be higher. This article provides a brief interdisciplinary overview of the features of modern telemedicine.
