Construction and Evaluation of Security ArchitecturesThe Institut for Telematics (TI) plans and evaluates individual concepts for different needs for modern high-security architectures in open and closed networks. In companies and the administration the usage of high-security infrastructrues regarding computers in closed and open networks is increasing daily in significance. As a matter of fact, today's structures must guarantee the reliable communication between the computers and at the same time offer an effective defense against hacking attacks. Modern attack scenarios, which open networks are still prone to, can be faced efficiently with adequate technical means. A differentiated Public-Key-Infrastructure (PKI), implemented and managed by the Institute for Telematiks guarantees the authenticity of the communication partners, the integrity of the transmitted data and their confidentiality. A crucial part of a PKI is the Trust Centre, which offers to assure the authenticity of the PKI users and can also provide the prerequisites for the legal validity of digital signatures. Moreoever, the TI produces analyses and models for special regions and locations like Luxembourg, whose local settings and backgrounds are sensitively cared for during all project phases. The administrative and economical interests are herby effectively combined. Our project areas:
